Jon R. Fee

Assistant County Attorney

Attorney Jon R. Fee joined the County Attorney’s Office as an assistant county attorney in January, 2023.

His responsibilities include the prosecution of cases involving allegations of dependency, neglect, or abuse (DNA) of Oldham County children. Prior to joining the County Attorney’s Office, Jon worked in Oldham and Shelby Counties on DNA dockets representing children as their Guardian Ad Litem or representing parents that qualified for court-appointed counsel. These experiences have given him a unique perspective on how to handle DNA cases. Jon is also responsible for the establishment and modification of child support cases at the circuit court level. When not working in the County Attorney’s Office, Jon also works as an assistant Commonwealth attorney in the 53rd Judicial district.

Prior to relocating to Kentucky in 2019, a majority of Jon's legal career was spent as a prosecutor in the metro areas around Denver. With extensive trial experience (59 jury trials), Jon is comfortable in the courtroom and is proud to work serving families of Oldham County. Jon earned a Ph.D. in biopsychology/behavioral neuroscience from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he studied the mechanisms of drug and alcohol abuse. This educational background often comes in handy when dealing with parents struggling with addiction.
