Tate has operated a law practice in Oldham County since 1972 in the areas of civil and criminal litigation. From 1969 through 1972, he served as a Captain in the United States Air Force, Judge Advocate General’s Corp. Tate recently joined the Oldham County Attorney’s Office in 2011 as an assistant prosecutor. His primary duties include prosecuting traffic, misdemeanor, felony and disability guardianship cases in Oldham District Court. Tate also represents the Oldham County Board of Adjustments and Appeals. He is a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Oldham County, Jefferson County and Kentucky Bar Associations.
